"The Spirit of the Herbfarm" to donate 20% of profits from book sales to the Ron Zimmerman Scholarship Fund
The scholarship fund will help talented students in the culinary programs at Seattle Central and South Seattle Colleges intern, with pay, at The Herbfarm Restaurant, learning beside Chef Chris Weber and other extraordinary team-members. The Scholarship will also offset other living expenses so students can drink the full measure of this potentially career- and life-shaping opportunity.
The Seattle Colleges are honored to help celebrate the incomparable life of Ron Zimmerman, co-founder of the legendary Herbfarm Restaurant which is known for inventive cuisine. The Herbfarm Restaurant celebrates nature, the changing seasons, and the freshest local ingredients, Not just one of the region's most honored restaurants but the world's. THANK YOU for making these culinary scholarships available to our two community colleges! Having raised hundred of thousands of dollars for scholarship for these community colleges and personally starting the ADOPT A STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP program at South Community College years ago, I am so thrilled for your generosity!
